Inspired by the entryway's arched doorways, the kitchen is organized into three meal-focused work zones; the largest of which is carved out of space under a staircase and visually connected to the adjacent living room.  The Breakfast area is organized with a coffeepot, toaster, vessel sink, drawers for cereal, dishes, and flatware, and a beverage refrigerator nearby at the end of the island. Lunch is organized near the full-size refrigerator and freezer with bread drawer, knives and cutting board at the end of the island.  Dinner is mostly prepared at the cooking side of the kitchen with an oversized sink with two faucets and a recessed niche for a chef's stool.
