In order to initiate the design process, a Project Retainer
fee and one hour interview with you or your representative
is required. During this fact-finding interview, we will ask
for you to help us outline how you see yourself using the
space, evaluate your aesthetic desires through the use of
pictures and sketches, review your schedule for the
project, outline budgetary constraints, and set priorities.

The project designer then takes all of this information and
compiles a series of design sketches for your approval.
During this phase, the area is "space planned," which
includes an evaluation of room size to desired function,
adjacency relationships to other rooms, and required
circulation patterns. It is important for all decision makers
to be present at the first plan review meeting, as
oftentimes several different concept sketches are presented
which will require your editing. The outline which is
produced at this meeting will form the basis of the
development for the rest of the project. Periodic meetings
and clearer refinements of the plans will allow us to
provide you with a firmly priced contract so that possible
change orders are minimized or avoided entirely.
